Amazon’s Superpowered Humans The boys are a danger in themselves, but it’s Vought – the immensely powerful and unscrupulous megacorporation that secretly created them – that poses the greatest threat to the world. This has been evident since the very first episode of the series, and while it sometimes feels like the organization is about to get its boost, a new trailer for The boysThe upcoming third season makes it clear that Vought is far from giving up.
The boysThe second season detailed how, in addition to secretly exposing children to chemicals that eventually gave rise to the world’s population of super-people, Vought also knowingly brought a deranged Nazi to join the Seven, his flagship team of Super hero. If the truth about Vought were ever fully known to the general public, one would imagine that the company could immediately collapse. But the Season 3 trailer shows Vought holding up pretty well as Homelander (Antony Starr) controls the damage while promoting Vought’s next film about the Seven.
In what looks like The boys’ a direct nod to the Sinclair Broadcast Group having local newscasters recite scripts, Homelander appears on a variety of news networks both to promote the film and to distance himself from his anti-Semitic former costar. Nothing in Homelander’s lyrics rings particularly true because he says the same thing to every reporter he speaks with, and he’s always been prone to deception. But the way Homelander separates mentally makes it clear The boys‘ Greater exploration of Vought’s self-destruction is not yet complete.
The boysThe third season is set to arrive on Amazon Prime on June 3.
