Join The Batmanit is Robert Pattinson in Mickey7, the next science fiction movie author Bong Joon Ho, are Naomi Ackie (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker)Toni Collet (the alley of nightmares), an/a Marc Ruffalo (The Adam ProjectShe-Hulk). It’s been a while since the director multi-Oscar for Parasite and we couldn’t be more excited about this latest development.

As the cinematic medium continues to steer away from blockbusters in theaters, it’s great to see another powerful ensemble come together for one of our new modern masters. That said, aAll we know about the untitled film is that Bong (whose other credits include memories of murder, The hostand snowdrops) will direct and write the script, which is a adaptation of the recently released novel Mickey7 by writer Edward Ashton. According to Deadlinethe casting news report, book centers around Mickey7, who is known as the “consumable”: a disposable employee of a human expedition sent to colonize the ice world Niflheim. Whenever there is a mission too dangerous, even suicidal, the crew turns to Mickey. After an iteration dies, a new body is regenerated with most of its memories intact.

In other words, we’re going to do sci-fi and get some clone action starring actor Robert Pattinson(s) we like to see dig into heady material like this. It looks like Ruffalo, Collette, and Ackie will round out some of the mentioned crew. With the concept of a guy who gets cloned and whose mind reappears (but with a certain amount of self-awareness)we get the energy from that groundhog day device mixed with free guy seen by Bong vision of mixing genres. No announcement of the start of production has been made but we will wait for another Batman film if we can get this one first.
