Johnny Depp’s attorney pushes back against expert comparison between Amber Heard and Jason Momoa, Gal Gadot and Zendaya

Johnny Depp’s attorney has pushed back against an expert’s assessment of Amber Heard’s career and her comparison to actors like Jason Momoa, Zendaya and Gal Gadot.

In the lawsuit where Mr Depp is suing his ex-wife for defamation, entertainment consultant Kathryn Arnold said Ms Heard could enjoy the same professional success as Gadot, Momoa and Zendaya were it not for the alleged “smear campaign of Team Depp against her.

“When you look at the time frame that Waldman’s statements came out [in 2020]and you look at what was happening in Ms. Heard’s career before the statement and what happened after the statement, it’s very clear to make that correlation,” Ms. Arnold said in court on Monday, May 23.

“It would have been very reasonable to believe that his career would have been on an upward trajectory from these other actors had it not been for the hoax allegations.”

Adam Waldman accused Heard of orchestrating an “abuse hoax” in an interview with the Daily mail in 2020.

Ms Arnold added that Ms Heard’s career “was on a very nice steady rise and was on the verge of a meteoric rise with Aquaman and Aquaman 2before the [defamatory] statements”.
