5 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Miss Kamal Haasan’s Vikram

tamil superstar Kamal Haasan‘s Vikram is set to hit theaters this Friday. The 67-year-old star has created a new benchmark in Kollywood with his marketing blitz across the globe. Over the past 10 days, Kamal has traveled to cities across the country and even flew to other countries to publicize the theatrical release of Vikram.

But, there are more reasons to watch VikramName in addition to Kamal’s aggressive promotions. Here are five reasons why you shouldn’t miss Vikram in theaters.

The return of Kamal Haasan

It’s funny that we’ve seen and read a lot about Kamal when he didn’t have a movie release in the past four years. Since his foray into television as the host of Bigg Boss Tamil, which has completed five seasons, we have seen Kamal a lot. He also made more headlines after entering active politics. But, we missed seeing him doing what he does best: acting, writing and directing. Vikram looks like a complete package that will fill the four-year gap. It has non-stop action, with Kamal delivering punchlines, singing and dancing. He wrote and sang the folk number “Pathala Pathala,” and we deserve to enjoy it on the big screen.

Multi-star like no other

It’s not every Friday that you see South India’s biggest movie stars come together in a movie. This is something that rarely happens in Tamil cinema. And Lokesh Kanagaraj pulled off a casting stunt by casting Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahahd Faasil in the same movie. Imagine, you have no idea Suriya’s cameo in the film, and he suddenly appears in the third act, surprising and exciting you at the same time. Lokesh did a solid job of keeping Suriya’s presence in the film a secret during production. If not for the eagle-eyed fans who spotted Suriya in the trailer, Lokesh would have pulled off this surprise.

Suriya to Vikram.

Lokesh Kanagaraj

Lokesh has only three films but he has managed to acquire a lot of real estate in the Tamil film industry. Since Kaithi in 2019, her growth in popularity and influence has been enormous. He ruled Maanagaram with a bunch of new faces and moved on to Karthi for Kaithi, then he did Master with Vijay. Before we know it, he’s calling the shots in a film starring Kamal Haasan, who he considers his mentor. This is the true meaning of success.

Non-stop action thriller

The Vikram trailer promised only one thing: action, action and more action. Lokesh studied the weapons for about two months before assembling weapons of all shapes and sizes. From a revolver to a high-caliber machine gun capable of shooting down a large plane, he seems to have gone crazy imagining and executing gun fights. The stunt sequences are choreographed by stunt duo Anbu and Arivu. Either way, we can rest assured that the fight scenes won’t disappoint.

The start of a franchise?

Vikram is the title of the 1986 film by Kamal Haasan. It was about an off-duty spy, who is drawn into an international conspiracy and prevents a rocket from exploding. But, this Vikram has nothing to do with the predecessor. But, this movie could very well be the start of a movie franchise. If you allow it, a cinematic universe of Lokesh Kanagaraj. Diehard fans have already found the scorpion symbol on a drug-filled bag in Vikram’s trailer, linking it to a package similar to Kaithi. Meanwhile, Kamal also revealed the possibility of making a sequel to Vikram with the character of Suriya.
