Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey have called it quits.
The A newspaper for Jordan The 35-year-old actor and Harvey, 25, have called it quits after dating for a year and a half, a source close to the couple confirms to PEOPLE.
“Michael and Lori are both heartbroken,” the source said. “They still love each other.”
“Michael matured a lot during their relationship and was ready for a long-term commitment. He let his guard down with her, opening up emotionally in a romantic relationship for the first time,” the source adds. “They had a great time together and brought out the best in each other.”
A representative from Jordan could not be reached for comment. Representatives for Harvey did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

They both attended the 2022 vanity lounge Oscar Party in Beverly Hills on March 27, which marked their red carpet debut. Model/influencer Harvey attended the Cannes Film Festival last month on May 17, appearing solo on the red carpet for a screening of Final Cut (Cut!). Rumors of trouble between the two have swirled in recent weeks following his return from France.
The couple celebrated their first anniversary in November, months after Jordan made their relationship Instagram official in January.
He said The Hollywood Reporter in December that he “finally found what love was” in his relationship with Harvey. The Black Panther The actor explained why he felt comfortable sharing his personal relationship publicly: “When I was younger, I don’t know if I could have handled the onslaught of opinions and being set apart, and also be aware of what the other person is going to go through. It takes a special person to deal with that.”
They felt “real enough” to share openly, he said at the time.
“There is premeditated planning to stay away [of the public eye] which sometimes kills spontaneity and intimacy. I wanted to take that away and give it the best chance it had, in this weird world we live in, of being a bit normal. Long story short, I think it’s just the timing of everything. It was the right time for me,” he added. “Yeah. I am happy.”

In April 2021, Jordan explained to PEOPLE why he decided to go public about his love life for the first time.
“I’m still private, and I want to protect that, but I just felt like it was a time where I just wanted to say it and move on,” he said at the time. “I’m extremely happy. I think as you get older you feel more comfortable with the [public nature] of the business we are in. So for me, it was a time to, I guess, take charge of that and then get back to work.

Harvey, who is the daughter of Steve Harvey, previously dated Sean “Diddy” Combs, the son of Combs, Justin, Trey Songz and Future. She opened up about her relationship with Jordan on The truth back in September.
“We really balance each other out,” she explained at the time. “I really believe in the statement when they say, ‘When you know you know.’ And I think that really applies to our situation and we’re just having a great time together.”

Lori added that he’s “so nice, very caring; he listens to me and the things I say I want, and he really makes an effort.”
Asked what was the sexiest or sweetest thing Jordan had done for her, Lori replied that he was “really good at all the great things”. She explained: “Valentines Day, birthdays, all that stuff, but it’s the little things, the everyday things that I think are really what make him special, like he just listens to me when I Even the other day I was just saying I really wanted to go to a farmer’s market, so he called me on a Sunday morning and said, “What are you doing, I’m coming pick you up at the farmer’s market and we had the best day.
