May 31, Dr. Suzanne Gilberg-Lenzone of Goldberg’s colleagues at Women’s Care of Beverly Hills Medical Group, wrote a poignant Facebook tribute to her “wonderful business partner” and encouraged others to donate to the Jay Goldberg OBGYN Resident Education Fund in her memory.

She wrote: “To say that our practice, its patients, its community and especially its beautiful family are shocked and devastated does not begin to express the enormity of this loss.

“I can’t believe I’ll never be able to roll my eyes at his stupid dad jokes or share a conversation about our kids during a C-section ever again,” she continued. “He was a stand-up guy who ALWAYS supported me, even when it was uncomfortable and especially when it was real. He made me a better person. We shared a birth month and I always told people that I was the evil twin. He was clearly the good one.”

Gilberg-Inez also included a statement from Goldberg’s wife, Stacyin his message.

“Jay was so loved. His sense of humor was legendary and he never missed an opportunity to make others feel better, lighter, more loved and more at ease,” Stacy said. “Jay epitomized what it means to be a mensch. He was loving, easy-going, funny and kind. He leaves a huge void in the hearts of everyone who knew him.”
