For weeks, Ezekiel drew the ire of Kevin Owens, who insisted that Ezekiel was really just Elias, not Elias’ brother. Even with a lie detector test proving that Ezekiel is who he claims to be, KO set out to expose Ezekiel as an impostor, which led to this frantic showdown.
Chicago gave Ezekiel the support he needed, with a “Zeke” chant leading him into a lightning fast knee that stunned KO. An elbow drop to Ezekiel’s top rope nearly spelled the end of the knockout. The animosity between the two led to a painful Irish Whip at the outside ring post by Owens.
Owens repeatedly aggravated Ezekiel and the crowd, again and again proclaiming that Ezekiel is Elias. Owens continued that vitriol with Ezekiel, with the two trading blows and Tornado DDTs. The tide turned for Ezekiel when he foiled a Senton Bomb attempt by raising his knees.
The two gave their all, with Owens and Ezekiel coming out with a thundering spinebuster and a Pop-up Powerbomb respectively. Owens couldn’t let go of his anger towards Ezekiel and delivered an impressive streak of moves including two superkicks, a Cannonball and a Stunner to take Ezekiel down. With knockout arm raised, he repeated again that Ezekiel is Elias, surely feeling vindicated.
