The last installment in the new trilogy of jurassic world movies, Jurassic World: Dominion hits theaters this weekend. While everyone already knows that this film is going to bring in an incredible amount of money and be considered a box office successcritics’ reactions on social media seem, for the most part, resigned and annoyed that they had to go through something that ultimately didn’t work out.

While Bryce Dallas Howard’s performances and his comeback cast members from original beloved 1993 film are rented, the rest of the film? Not really. There are critics who really enjoyed the film, while others are annoyed by the original’s murky plot, lack of real characterization, and constant rehash. The embargo on the full review lifts tomorrow at noon, but until then, here are some early reactions on social mediastarting with our own Germain Lussier, a well-known man in the slack to love company a dinosaur movie:

Yeah. Well, let’s give other reviews a chance to expand.

Overall, first-look reactions to Jurassic World: Dominion feels like there was an attempt to tie the whole franchise together in a way that didn’t quite work for a lot of critics. Even the positive reactions note some of the film’s failings, from a full plot to muddled motivations. I also noticed that literally no one mentions Chris Pratt, who arguably should be considered the star of this movie.

While there’s plenty of action, adventure, dinosaurs and nods to Jurassic Park (1993), it looks like it’s going to be a summer blockbuster that people will enjoy and forget, especially since some critics call it worse than fallen kingdomthe notoriously poorly received second installment from 2018. Maybe if you check out Jurassic World: Dominion this weekend, follow the advice of Danielle Turchiano.

Jurassic World: Dominion hits theaters on June 9.
