The time is approaching for Resident Evil to run wild on Netflix, like a T-virus zombie looking for someone to maim. And thanks to Netflix’s Geeked Week, we’ve got a whole new look at the series. In a surprise to no one at all, it’s filled with gore, zombies, drama, and plenty of Umbrella Corporation shenanigans. You can take a look at the clip below.
Netflix’s Resident Evil live-action series takes an interesting take on the franchise, based on the long-running video game series. The show actually takes place over two separate time periods. You’ll see what happens in 2022, before the world fell thanks to the T-virus, as well as a post-apocalyptic 2036 filled with zombies. For those who follow the games, the 2022 storyline will more or less align with Resident Evil Village.
The series stars Ella Balinska, Lance Reddick, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, Paola Nuñez, Ahad Raza Mir, Connor Gossatti and Turlough Convery. And in case you were wondering, this has nothing to do with the recent movie, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.
The first season of Resident Evil will consist of eight episodes when it debuts July 14 on Netflix. Be sure to stay up to date with the rest of our Geeked Week content.
