Amber Heard denies being cut from Aquaman 2 as role being recast

Amber Heard has denied a report that she will be cut from ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ and her role as Mera is being recast.

“Warner Brothers has decided to recast Amber Heard’s role after screen testing the film,” an insider reportedly told JustJared.

They were going to do covers with stars Jason Momoa and Nicole Kidman, the source said.

However, a representative for Heard denied the rumor to The Post, saying in a statement that “the rumor continues as it has since day one” and that it was “inaccurate, insensitive and slightly insane”.

The Post also sought comment from representatives of Warner Bros.

The troubled actress’ eviction comes after her high-profile defamation lawsuit with ex-husband Johnny Depp.

During her high-profile defamation lawsuit with ex-husband Johnny Depp, the troubled 36-year-old actress claimed Warner Brothers “didn’t want to include me” in the DC Comics sequel.

Heard also noted that she was “actively planning the timing” of the superhero movie until Depp’s legal team launched a campaign against her. She said her scenes were scaled down significantly in the film.

“I was given a script, then new versions of the script which had removed scenes containing action, which depicted my character and another character, without giving spoilers, two characters fighting against each other another, and they basically took a little bit out of my role,” she told the courtroom in Fairfax, Va. “They just took out a bunch of them.”

Heard claimed in his testimony that the studio “didn’t want to include him” in the new project.

Heard’s WME agent, Jessica Kovacevic, testified during the trial that Warner Bros. claimed it was Heard’s “lack of chemistry” with her “Aquaman” co-star Jason Momoa that nearly canned her. However, Momoa reportedly pleaded for the actress to keep the role. Additionally, Kovacevic said she believed the studio wanted Heard removed as Princess Mera due to “bad press” resulting from the court case.

“Nobody wants this association,” Kovacevic said.

Kovacevic also touched on Heard’s career before and after her relationship with Depp, 58, saying she should have become a major star after the first film premiered in late 2018, which grossed over $1 billion.

Viewers asked Warner Bros. months of removing Heard from ‘Aquaman 2’ amid his legal battles with the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star. To date, the petition has exceeded over 4.6 million signatures.

The redesign rumor comes the same day as a clip from Heard’s interview with “Today” host Savannah Guthrie aired on NBC.

“Until the day I die, I will stand by every word of my testimony,” she told Guthrie.

On June 1, a jury in Fairfax, Va., awarded Depp, 58, more than $10 million after finding that his ex-wife defamed his reputation and damaged his career with her allegations of domestic violence in a 2018 op-ed she wrote for the Washington. Job. He was additionally awarded $5 million in punitive damages; Heard, meanwhile, was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages and no punitive damages.
