The 2022 US Open is wide open with a ranking loaded with both former great champions and rising stars. After a chaotic third lap that saw Will Zalatoris and Matthew Fitzpatrick take the lead, we should be ready for an action-packed end on Sunday. In fact, seven different players held at least a chunk of the moving day lead, and that’s something that could definitely play into the final round.

Zalatoris’ 3 Under 67 Moving Day was the best run at the Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts on Saturday, a day that saw just seven players finish under par, a big change from the scoring conditions more advantageous in the first two rounds. . Zalatoris and Fitzpatrick will be tested on Sunday by previous action which includes defending US Open champion Jon Rahm starting just one stroke behind and 2022 Masters champion Scottie Scheffler two behind the leaders. Rahm will play in the penultimate group with local favorite Keegan Bradley, while Scheffler is in the pairing just ahead with Adam Hadwin.

Ten different golfers will start Sunday within four strokes of the lead, including Rory McIlroy, who is just three strokes behind at 1 under. As such, Sunday sets up for a fantastic end to the National Golf Championship.
