American Idol season 10 winner Scotty McCreery and his wife Gabi are expecting their first child.
In an interview with People magazine published on Tuesday, the couple, both 28, revealed they will be welcoming a baby boy in November.
“We’ve got a little man on the way,” Scotty said on the take.

The Damn Strait singer and the pediatric nurse dated for six years before getting married in June 2018.
Scotty told People the couple had “always talked” about having children, but decided to wait a few years after getting married.
“We always knew we wanted kids, but we always knew we wanted the first years to travel and have time on the road, to see things and experience life,” he said. he declares.

The country star continued, “We’ve been through a lot of life and done some cool things, so it seems like a good time to settle down a bit and expand the family.”
After finding out she was pregnant earlier this year, Gabi was planning on breaking the good news to her husband after picking him up from the airport and before they headed to a hockey game.
“Well, his flight was delayed, so it didn’t work out,” she said.
“We’ve got a little man on the way,” Scotty told the outlet.
While the pair were at the game, Scott said he didn’t notice the subtle sign that Gabi was abstaining from alcohol.
“I’m over there drinking beers, having a good time, and she’s like, ‘I think I’m going to take it easy tonight’, so I was like, ‘Okay.’
“I didn’t think anything about it,” added the North Carolina native. Gabi finally told her the next morning.
The couple explained that they were surprised to learn that they were going to have a boy because their family history indicated that they were likely to have a girl.
Scotty said, “I was the only boy on both sides of my family, the last McCreery boy to come out.”
He continued, “Gabi comes from two sisters in her family, so I just thought it would be a girl. But we got a surprise from a boy.
The two were so sure of having a girl that they had already decided on a name. They told People they haven’t decided on their son’s name yet.

Although the couple added that they would have been “satisfied” anyway, the Five More Minutes crooner told People he was now excited to involve his son in some of his favorite hobbies.
“I grew up playing sports, so I introduced him to baseball, which was my first love with music, and golf, it’s just little things that [will be great].’
Gabi said she feels her career experience in pediatric nursing “prepared me in many ways” for motherhood.
“Even changing diapers several times a day and figuring out how to soothe the baby when he’s upset definitely helped,” she added.
Meanwhile, Scotty said his wife’s medical expertise was “great for me because I’ll be so nervous”.
The singer explained: “If the baby coughs, I’ll say, ‘Hey, Gabi, how are you? What is happening here? So knowing that she has that experience, I think it will be huge.
The couple told People they plan to take their son on the road with them when Scotyt goes on tour.

“I think we’ll bring another bus and try to make him a little nativity scene,” Scotty said. “It might not be every week, and we’ll see how the baby hits the road, but it would be nice, just selfishly, to have Gabi and the baby with me. I don’t want to miss anything with him growing up.
Gabi said, “Travel is such a part of our lives that I feel like if we start at a young age, it will prepare him a bit.”
Scotty acknowledged, ‘[This is] uncharted waters for us, but we can’t wait to dive in and meet the little man.
The entertainer also shared the exciting news on Instagram, writing, “Baby McCreery coming soon!”
