Top AEW Star To Miss AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door

Tonight’s episode of AEW “Dynamite” kicked off with Blackpool Combat Club’s Bryan Danielson stepping into the ring and addressing his in-ring future.

He started off by saying that it was a great week to be an AEW and pro wrestling fan because Sunday is Forbidden Door and next Wednesday is Blood & Guts episode of “Dynamite.” It’s essentially the complete opposite of the technical wrestling masterpiece that Forbidden Door will be, but it’s the violence it’s excited for, and so are AEW fans.

Bryan says he was thrilled to be a part of the events and face the man Chris Jericho hired to fight him, Zack Saber Jr. He says not only was he going to prove himself to be a better technical wrestler than Saber Jr., he was also going to crush his trachea.

He was fired up for the violent B&G match because he wanted revenge for the Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing. However, due to the Anarchy in the Arena match and what happened, he is not allowed to compete at Forbidden Door or Blood & Guts.

But lest anyone care about his overall health, he feels fine and can run 2 miles without breaking a sweat, read words and jump through ropes whenever he feels like it. He assures everyone that despite his broken neck and all the other injuries in his career, he will be back and better than ever.

The good news is that Eddie Kingston called him a judgmental asshole during a recent interview, as we noted. He agrees with that statement, actually. Danielson says that since he’s a judgmental asshole, he has very high standards. So when he promises something is going to be amazing, it will be. He says he’s found the one person to take his place in Forbidden Door and Blood & Guts, and he’s going to put on some amazing matches in both storylines.

As the public asked who, he said he wouldn’t let the news come out until this Sunday. Bryan then ended the segment by shouting the question, “Who is the best technical wrestler in the world?!” Saber Jr. then walked up the ramp and shouted insults at the end of the segment.

Danielson has been out of action since AEW Double Or Nothing on May 29, as he mentioned in his promo. Despite original reports stating he would only be out of action for one to two weeks, Danielson will now miss more than a month of action due to undisclosed injuries.
