After Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s final judgment, his rep made a bold comparison

The public is now weeks away from the libel trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, but the dust hasn’t settled yet. Since the end of the courtroom drama, Heard shares his opinion on the verdict and discuss the factors (like suppressed evidence) which she claims would have changed the result, which she didn’t think it was “right”. The actress’ lawyer has just confirmed that she is seeking to appeal the jury’s decision, which requires her to pay Depp millions of dollars. And after the final judgment was rendered and in the midst of this attempted appeal, Heard’s rep made a bold comparison.

A final judgment in the court case between the two stars was handed down during a hearing last Friday. As Deadline reports, it was thought the two sides would attempt to reach a settlement before Judge Penney Azcarate delivered the final verdict. Amber Heard’s lead attorney, Elaine Bredehoft, reportedly had heated exchanges with Azcarate before expressing her client’s intention to appeal. Sometime later, while addressing the move, a representative apparently referenced something said in another major ongoing legal situation:

As stated in yesterday’s congressional hearings, you don’t ask for a pardon if you are innocent. And, you don’t refuse to appeal if you know you’re right.
